Abstract

Pyroptosis is a novel form of programmed cell death that depends on gasdermin-mediated pore formation in the plasma membrane and the release of inflammatory factors. Pyroptosis is closely linked to the occurrence and progression of almost all types of cancer, including ovarian cancer, which is the seventh most common malignancy among women worldwide and poses a significant threat to women's health. Research indicates that pyroptosis may offer potential strategies for monitoring and treating ovarian cancer.
