Abstract

Background: Standard medical treatments for patients with uncomplicated LUTS include alpha-blockers, 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors (5ARIs), phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, antimuscarinics, and beta-3 agonists. The lipido-sterolic extract of Serenoa repens (Sr) is also recommended as a therapeutic option.
