This case report aimed to describe an unusual presentation of botulinum neurotoxin-associated central nervous system involvement. This manuscript is a case review describing the clinical course, diagnostic challenges, and management strategies of brain edema after botulinum toxin type A exposure. Abstract
A 26-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with progressive symptoms including fever, pharyngeal pain, dysphagia, bilateral ptosis, and generalized weakness after cosmetic botulinum toxin injections to the neck.
