Abstract

The mechanisms of photoreactions of thiomethylpropyl ketone CH3CSCH2CH2CH3 (1) have been studied using the chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (CIDNP) effect, which manifests itself in the NMR spectra. Pulsed and laser photolysis makes it possible to study the kinetics of death and accumulation of intermediate products released from the solvent cell, while the use of CIDNP allows a detailed study of cellular processes. The elementary acts of the reaction were established.
