Abstract
3D printers, which primarily use polymer materials as raw feedstock, have become widely used and are often operated in enclosed spaces. However, only a limited number of users pay sufficient attention to ventilation. When polymers are heated, various gaseous compounds such as styrene, butadiene, and others are released, which have a strong characteristic odor and may adversely affect users’ health. This article examines an extraction-pyrolytic method for depositing photocatalytic titanium oxide onto a metal mesh. The results of studies on the crystalline structure and microstructure of the obtained oxide films are presented. Technological conditions for forming the most active anatase phase, as well as a nanostructured titanium oxide film with the largest surface area, have been determined.
