Abstract
Trends in the global rare-earth metal (REM) market and conformance of the domestic manufacture and its mineral resource base to them are considered. The relevance of the eudialyte from the Lovozerskii deposit in overcoming Russia’s backwardness in this field is shown. Challenges with the use of eudialyte in industry are discussed. Approaches to overcoming these problems are analyzed.
