Abstract

Requirements for generation of the resonant magnetic fields in tokamaks for controlling magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) plasma perturbations, stabilizing edge localized modes (ELM), and suppressing accelerated electron beams are considered. A preliminary design of a system for generating external resonant magnetic fields on the T-15MD tokamak is considered.
