Abstract

Approximately one-third of patients with a malignant disease develop lung metastases. Two-thirds of malignant tumor metastases are located in the peripheral third of the lung and present as well-circumscribed nodules. In this study, we present a 35-year-old male patient diagnosed with alveolar echinococcosis, a rare condition that can radiologically mimic pulmonary malignant metastases, posing a diagnostic challenge.

The journal receives manuscripts from members and non-members and cardiovascular surgeons. The manuscripts are peer reviewed by at least two or sometimes three or four reviewers who are on the panel. The manuscript process is now completely online. Funding the journal comes partially from the organization and from revenue generated by subscription and advertisement.
