In traditional chemistry, however, new compounds were synthesized and screened individually. A new era began in the second half of the last century. Abstract
Nowadays, the pipelines of drug candidates leading to new small-molecule drugs are fed by leads selected from large compound libraries produced by parallel and combinatorial synthetic methods.
