Hemothorax Caused by Delayed Pacing Lead Perforation: A Case Report.

Abstract

Pacing lead perforation is a rare but life-threatening complication of pacemaker implantation, and timely diagnosis remains challenging for clinicians. We report a case of delayed pacing lead perforation identified by echocardiography with massive bloody pleural effusion. This case emphasizes that careful, timely imaging evaluation can improve the detection rate of complications and guide clinical decision-making.
