Latent growth models (LGM) were conducted according to the intention-to-treat principle.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The LGM showed that some weight management strategies increase significantly over time in IG (energy compensation, regulation: rule setting) and regarding subjective well-being (positive affect and satisfaction with life). Additionally, the IG showed a decrease in emotional and uncontrolled eating, and an increase in self-esteem and health-related determinants.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>Long-term effects of this cognitive-behavioural intervention were found in some measures, while others only increased for a certain period.
