Using 3,8-dihydronaphtho[1,2-<i>d</i>:5,6-<i>d</i>′]bis(thiazole)-2,7-dithion (H<sub>2</sub><b>L</b><sup><b>2</b></sup>) in a similar reaction gives a two-step deprotonation product - an ionic complex [Bu<sub>4</sub>N]<sub>2</sub><b>L</b><sup><b>2</b></sup> (<b>2</b>). Abstract
In the interaction of benzo[1,2-d:5,4-d′]bis(thiazole)-2,6(3H,5H)-dithion (H2L1) with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide a one-step deprotonation product, being a new organic one-dimensional (1D) ionic hydrogen-bonded framework {[Bu4N][HL1(H2O)2]}n (1), is obtained. Using 3,8-dihydronaphtho[1,2-d:5,6-d′]bis(thiazole)-2,7-dithion (H2L2) in a similar reaction gives a two-step deprotonation product - an ionic complex [Bu4N]2L2 (2).
