Abstract
Anthocyanin-enriched dye is extracted from the fruits of blueberry using ethanol, and citric acid is added to enhance the acidity (pH = 3 and 5) in the photoanode of DSSC, is serves as the sensitizer. Organic additive in the dye solution has enhanced the efficiency of dye dye-sensitized solar cell to a larger extent. Henceforth, the dye solution with a pH of 1(raw), followed by pHs of 3 and 5 with the addition of citric acid, is subjected to FTIR, UV–Visible, and PL spectroscopic studies. The photoanode of the TiO2-coated FTO substrate is soaked with the dye solution having a pH of 5, redox couple electrolyte of I−/I3−, and the counter electrode of graphite coated over FTO is sandwiched to fabricate the DSSC. The cell is subjected to JV characterization for the determination of cell parameters, in which it has produced an efficiency of 2.152% with open circuit voltage, short circuit current density, and fill factor of 1.006 V, 3.0507 mA/cm2, and 0.701, respectively.
期刊介绍:
The Brazilian Journal of Physics is a peer-reviewed international journal published by the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF). The journal publishes new and original research results from all areas of physics, obtained in Brazil and from anywhere else in the world. Contents include theoretical, practical and experimental papers as well as high-quality review papers. Submissions should follow the generally accepted structure for journal articles with basic elements: title, abstract, introduction, results, conclusions, and references.
