Abstract
I have been listening for years to statements from NYS state government officials touting that fact that $400 million of the $500 million received from the settlement of the lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and distributors has been “made available” to the stakeholders trying to save lives. When, I and others, have asked how much of the money that has been “made available” has been received and spent by the addiction care system, we have received no response!
