Abstract

Cranial ultrasound is an invaluable tool in assessing neonatal brain anatomy and pathology. It is accessible, relatively quick, inexpensive, safe, portable and generally well-tolerated. This pictorial review focuses on the use of cranial ultrasound in evaluating the premature brain.
