Abstract

Acute pancreatitis is a critical gastrointestinal condition that necessitates timely identification and management to prevent severe complications, such as pancreatic necrosis and organ failure. This article explores the multifactorial pathophysiology of acute pancreatitis and highlights the essential role of nurses in the early detection and management of this condition. Key nursing interventions include pain control, fluid and electrolyte management, and continuous monitoring for complications. Emphasising multidisciplinary collaboration, this article underscores the significance of effective nursing strategies in enhancing patient outcomes in acute pancreatitis cases.
