Unilateral Neck Pain in Primary Care: A Diagnostic Challenge

Abstract

This case presents a woman with unilateral neck pain at a primary care clinic. Neck pain is a nonspecific symptom that poses a diagnostic challenge for practitioners. Numerous differentials must be considered for patients with neck pain. This case facilitates discussion of diagnostic reasoning, differentials, and management of patients with neck pain. The follow-up recommendations and patient education are discussed to ensure continuity of care.
