[The importance of a transcultural clinical approach in the context of traumatic migration].

Abstract

The transcultural dimension must necessarily be taken into account in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders, as shown by the case of a young immigrant woman whose request for clinical care is motivated by an anxiety-depressive state that she explains by difficulties in adapting to a poorly mastered cultural disparity. This situation reveals that her difficulties are the expression of acculturation and post-traumatic stress inherent in war trauma.
