Abstract

This study uses panel data from listed companies from 2010 to 2022 to assess the impact of business model innovation on firm growth. Business model innovation can effectively promote firm growth, and this effect is heterogeneous across firms with different debt levels and industry types. Specifically, a higher level of intellectual property protection enhances the positive effect of business model innovation on firm growth, while financing constraints weaken this positive impact. The findings of this study offer conceptual insights and practical guidance for advancing firm growth.
