Analyses of the phylogeny, tanglegram, and Euler diagram of gyrodactylids of Fundulidae reveal a complex mosaic of historical processes, including ecological fitting, oscillation, taxon pulses, and putative hybridization events driving host-parasite associations observed, fully compatible with the Stockholm Paradigm.
