Abstract

When I began my PhD in high voltage and insulation engineering at IIT Guwahati, I was driven by a desire to contribute something meaningful to the energy sector, something that could help make future power systems more sustainable and more resilient. This was rooted in a question that drives much of my research: How can we create eco-friendly, high-performance alternatives to traditional insulating oils in transformers, especially for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems?
