Abstract

From the time a scaphoid fracture occurs to the successful treatment of a nonunion, months and years have often passed, and the patient frequently has reduced wrist motion, grip strength, and wrist pain. Scaphoid nonunions can be a challenge for the wrist surgeon, and operations are undertaken in several ways.
