Abstract
The calibration of multi-component transducers is getting increasingly important. It is becoming apparent that different procedures are needed for their calibration, based on the very different requirements of the applications. This also results in different requirements for the Multicomponent Standard Machines, which are used to calibrate the transducers.
As the global infrastructure of multicomponent calibration is still largely underdeveloped, this paper provides an overview of the accredited laboratories in Germany and presents the main principles of multicomponent calibration machines that have already been realised.
