Abstract
Pyridine is a key structural motif in pharmaceuticals, and its functionalization is of great research value. We present an efficient alkylation method using N-alkoxypyridinium salts as bifunctional reagents. This protocol operates under mild conditions and offers a broad substrate scope, enabling rapid molecular construction via β-fragmentation with low catalyst loading.
