Abstract
The light yield quenching of the liquid scintillator of 5-t prototype of Baksan Large Neutrino Telescope project was measured and the Birks parameter kB was determined to be 0.016 \({\pm}\) 0.001 cm MeV\({}^{-1}\). The \({}^{14}\)C content of a LAB-based scintillator has been measured using the prototype with the scintillator mass of 0.5 t. The \({}^{14}\textrm{C}/{}^{12}\)C ratio has been obtained.
