Abstract

Cis-platin was the first discovered anticancer drug based on the transition metal complex. It showed its anticancer activities on various types of cancers such as head and neck, testicular, small-cell lung and non-small-cell lung, bladder, cervical and ovarian cancers. But due to some adverse effects, scientists developed some platinum analogues as second and third generation drugs for cancer treatment. Among them, some passed clinical trials and some failed. Then non platinum complexes were also introduced with effective anticancer properties. Lot of research has been done on Iron, Ruthenium, Rhodium analogues. In this review, immense bio-activity of Palladium Complexes has been discussed and tried to demonstrate that Palladium complexes and its derivatives may also function as alternatives of Cis-platin.

Papers should be significant pieces of work, and all new compounds must be appropriately characterized. The inclusion of single-crystal X-ray structural data is strongly encouraged, but papers reporting only the X-ray structure determination of a single compound will usually not be considered. Papers on solid-state or materials chemistry will be expected to have a significant molecular chemistry component (such as the synthesis and characterization of the molecular precursors and/or a systematic study of the use of different precursors or reaction conditions) or demonstrate a cutting-edge application (for example inorganic materials for energy applications). Papers dealing only with stability constants are not considered.
