[Fernando Oreste Nannetti's mural at the Volterra Psychiatric Hospital, Italy: iconographic analysis].

Abstract

This article analyzes the mural made by Fernando Oreste Nannetti at the Volterra Psychiatric Hospital (Italy), during his stay between 1958 and 1973. The text introduces the author and the Volterra Psychiatric Hospital and then develops a concise iconographic analysis of the mural. It aims to connect the contents with Nannetti's biography, and the interests or concerns based on the two main themes: his experience in the psychiatric medical system and his interest in science and technology.
