The performance of individual plates in separating color normals and color vision defectives of individual plates varies (YI ranges from 69.8 to 86.1%). A set of three plates can be chosen, which achieves a performance similar to that of the whole test. The Standard pseudoisochromatic Plate (SPP) test was administered to 346 normals, 55 anomalous trichromats, and 46 dichromats.
