Abstract
The question of the quantitative composition and structure of the formed hydrogen complexes of the 1,2-naphthoquinone molecule with water molecules in its hydration shell is considered. The problem was solved by comparing the calculated shifts of electronic transitions during the formation of hydrogen complexes with n = 5–13 water molecules with the experimental shifts of the absorption bands of 1,2-naphthoquinone in a water solution compared to a solution in n-hexane.
