Abstract
The evaluation of virtual experiment teaching (VET) is a fuzzy assessment problem involving multiple indicators, multiple levels, and interval values, inherently characterized by uncertainties that make accurate evaluation challenging. Interval-valued fuzzy sets (IVFSs) can effectively reduce the loss of fuzzy information during data processing. Based on an analysis of the VET evaluation index system, this study proposes an interval-valued fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (IVFCE) model. It employs interval-valued fuzzy set theory to conduct a multi-level comprehensive evaluation of virtual experiment teaching while validating the results using traditional fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The derived results prove more convincing, facilitate stakeholders' understanding of evaluation criteria and improvement directions, better reflect the diversity and complexity inherent in VET evaluations, and ultimately promote continuous quality enhancement in virtual experiment pedagogy.

Evaluation and Program Planning is based on the principle that the techniques and methods of evaluation and planning transcend the boundaries of specific fields and that relevant contributions to these areas come from people representing many different positions, intellectual traditions, and interests. In order to further the development of evaluation and planning, we publish articles from the private and public sectors in a wide range of areas: organizational development and behavior, training, planning, human resource development, health and mental, social services, mental retardation, corrections, substance abuse, and education.
