Abstract

A comparative study of the volatile components of Zingiber officinale Rosc. collected from 12 different geographical locations of 5 districts of Kumaun region of Uttarakhand has been conducted for the first time. Essential oils were extracted via hydrodistillation using a Clevenger-type apparatus, and their chemical composition was examined using a GC-MS instrument.
