Abstract
The states of liquid albumin droplets sitting on a non-wetting horizontal elastic substrate which was first cyclically stretched and then relaxed have been studied experimentally. Multi-branch hysteresis of droplet states has been found. The number of hysteresis branches can be varied by changing the law of motion of the substrate.
