Abstract
Fifteen healthy subjects underwent ultrasound of their median and ulnar nerves by three examiners: an expert ultrasonographer and two surgeons without formal ultrasound training. The surgeons accurately measured the cross-sectional area of the median nerve, but not the ulnar nerve.
