Nicotine concentrations increasing for youths who vape

Abstract

Young people who vape nicotine are consuming a higher concentration than ever, and they don't even know it, a recent study has found. The maximum concentration in 2019, when youth vaping peaked, was 5% inf most e-cigarette products. That is already very high, but a recent decision by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized 6% concentration, and there are no required concentration limits or labeling requirements. Young people obtain unpackaged devices without knowing the concentrations at all. So researchers investigated the prevalence of vaping nicotine by youth.
