Abstract
Abstract: Ableism is a bias or discrimination against individuals with a known or perceived disability in favor of those who do not have a known or perceived disability. One outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic was the realization that the nursing workforce lacked diversity and representation, including those who are disabled. This article discusses strategies to mitigate ableism in nursing and promote a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
