China is a country with severe earthquake disasters. Because of improvements in fortification intensity, fortification standards, or different design standards, the seismic performance of many existing residential buildings can't meet the requirements of the current seismic codes. It is an effective measure to reduce the loss of earthquake disasters through seismic appraisal of existing residential buildings and seismic reinforcement of houses that do not meet the appraisal requirements. At present, the prefabricated reinforcement method that is lightweight, fast, low-carbon, and reduces the impact on use has become the main development trend of reinforcement technology.
