{"title":"Experimental Study on the Effect of Curing Agent on the Mechanical Properties of Concrete","authors":"Hongbin Qu","doi":"10.1002/cepa.3098","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"<p>Due to the many flaws in concrete itself it needs to be constantly improved to better suit the development. in order to investigate the influence of curing agent in improving the mechanical properties of concrete, this paper utilizes the type of curing agent (TX-1, KJD-II) and the mass admixture of curing agent (0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, 0.5%) as the influencing factors to make concrete specimens, and compressive strength and flexural strength tests were carried out respectively. The test results showed that the compressive strength and flexural strength of the cement specimens showed a trend of gradual increase and then gradual decrease with the increase of the dosage of the two curing agents, and reached the maximum value when the dosage was 0.3%. The compressive strength of curing agent modified concrete was increased by 10.4% and the flexural strength of concrete was increased by 11.5% when KJD II curing agent was mixed at 0.3%. The compressive strength of curing agent-modified concrete increased by 16.6% and the flexural strength of concrete increased by 18.0% when TX-1 curing agent was mixed at 0.3%.
