Abstract
A new velocity estimation method for maneuvering targets using a single sensor in ocean waveguides is proposed. Unlike the conventional cross-spectrum method, the proposed velocity estimation method can perform non-uniform velocity estimation. First, a new cross-spectrum signal model in a non-uniform velocity state is derived. The derivation result shows that the cross-spectrum acoustic field possesses time-varying frequency characteristics in the non-uniform velocity state.
