Abstract
To think human and madness (Penser l’homme et la folie), the title of one of Henri Maldiney's works, points to the fact that, like many psychiatrists of his generation, this philosopher analysed the existence of the psychotic on the basis of common structures of all human experience. Without this principle of considering them together, no encounter between the psychiatrist and their patient would be possible.
