It is found that, in most thermodynamic calculations, the combustion products of coke oven gas and its mixture with natural gas may be regarded as air. That permits the comparison of gas turbine operation with different fuels. The combustion temperature of various mixtures of coke oven gas and natural gas is determined as a function of the air excess in combustion. The enthalpy ranges of the combustion products for mixtures of coke oven gas and natural gas with an air excess are considered, and the enthalpy is compared for two mixtures with different proportions of the components.
