The mechanisms leading to the formation of stable vortex structures in internal turbulent swirl flows occurring in complex channels of power plants are considered. The effects associated with the manifestation of the swirl flow crisis are considered. It is shown that the generation of stable vortex formations in the equipment elements of power installations can be directly related to the mechanism of excitation of dangerous vibro-resonance effects. A method for intensifying heat transfer in steam generating channels is proposed.
