Moreover, QE stimulates insulin secretion and attenuates insulin resistance through various pathways, namely transient KATP channel, motivating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor expression, increasing glucose transporter-4, and decreasing inducible nitric oxide synthase in skeletal muscle.
