Abstract
The control of the interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy singularly perturbed systems (SPSs) with packet losses is studied in this paper. To alleviate data collision, a multi-node round-robin protocol (RRP) is adopted to decide the communication sequences between the sensors and controller. With the help of multi-node RRP, only partial sensor nodes have the priority to access the network channels at each instant. Meanwhile, a Bernoulli packet dropout model is used to further analyze the occurrence of packet dropouts during data transmission. This article's main research results and contributions consist of two parts: (1) Firstly, by combining multi-node RRP, Bernoulli packet loss model and mismatched membership functions, an IT2 fuzzy controller dependent on scheduling state information is designed, under which the control performance of the system can be effectively enhanced. (2) Secondly, by establishing a new Lyapunov functional related to singular perturbation parameter, the system stability conditions can be obtained and ill-conditioned issue is alleviated. Eventually, the feasibility of developed method is validated by the Van der Pol circuit system example.
Since its launching in 1978, the journal Fuzzy Sets and Systems has been devoted to the international advancement of the theory and application of fuzzy sets and systems. The theory of fuzzy sets now encompasses a well organized corpus of basic notions including (and not restricted to) aggregation operations, a generalized theory of relations, specific measures of information content, a calculus of fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy sets are also the cornerstone of a non-additive uncertainty theory, namely possibility theory, and of a versatile tool for both linguistic and numerical modeling: fuzzy rule-based systems. Numerous works now combine fuzzy concepts with other scientific disciplines as well as modern technologies.
In mathematics fuzzy sets have triggered new research topics in connection with category theory, topology, algebra, analysis. Fuzzy sets are also part of a recent trend in the study of generalized measures and integrals, and are combined with statistical methods. Furthermore, fuzzy sets have strong logical underpinnings in the tradition of many-valued logics.
