The retraction has been agreed due to concerns raised by third parties on the data presented in the article. Specifically, image elements of Figure 7 were found to have been published in a different article with at least one common author and in a different scientific context. Further investigation by the journal team revealed that also Figure 4B was published in the same article to represent a different treatment. Due to the significant time elapsed since publication, the authors were unable to retrieve the full set of original data, and the data provided was found insufficient to address the concerns.
