A cross-sectional study was conducted to test the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of the tool from April to October 2023 in Xi'an.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The Chinese version of the LUNS monitoring tool had a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.702 and the ICC was 0.732 (<i>p</i> < 0.001). The I-CVIs were above 0.90 and the S-CVI/Ave was 0.983. The factor analysis extracted eight factors, collectively accounting for 66.283% of the data variance. The correlation coefficient between the LUNS and WSO needs assessment questionnaire was 0.105 (<i>p</i> = 0.019).</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>The study confirmed good reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the LUNS monitoring tool in measuring the prevalence and level of unmet need in stroke patients.
