Abstract

Background: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer mortality, and cigarette smoking is the most significant risk factor. Among smokers at high risk for lung cancer, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) also poses a significant risk for morbidity and mortality.
