Abstract

Language in a new series of state government lawsuits against the owners of social media app TikTok strongly resembles recent warnings from federal leaders about the dangers of social media, from addiction-like changes in the brains of young users to a lack of transparency from technology companies that has impeded a greater understanding of social media's impact.
