Abstract

An approach is presented to the construction of control systems for semiconductor power regulators for distribution networks with the aim of balancing network operating modes and reactive-power compensation. The main functions to be realized by control systems of semiconductor power regulators are formulated. A generalized structure of the control system is presented, applicable for a wide class of circuit solutions for semiconductor power regulators. A generalized algorithm for the control system operation is proposed. An example of implementation of a hardware–software complex of a control system for one of the semiconductor power-regulator circuits is presented. Results of experimental studies of the control system operation in automatic mode of a prototype of one of the semiconductor power-regulator schemes showing the balancing of active power in the network under a dynamically changing load are given.
