Abstract

The production of polarized \(J/\psi\) mesons at the NICA (Nuclotron based Ion Collider fAcility) energy of \(\sqrt{s}=27\) GeV is studied on the basis of the generalized parton model in the leading order of perturbative QCD. The hadronization of a \(c\bar{c}\) quark pair to a \(J/\psi\) meson is described within the model of nonrelativistic QCD.
