Over the years, various treatments have been proposed, but a comprehensive comparative analysis was lacking. This review examined several treatments, including the Emmert procedure, orthonyxia, and the VHO-Osthold® Perfect buckle, comparing them in terms of outcomes, patient satisfaction, recovery times, and recurrence rates. The results showed that treatments such as the VHO-Osthold® Perfect buckle and orthonyxia led to shorter recovery times and reduced post-treatment pain. Even a combined approach for chronic onycholysis yielded promising results.
